Champ Pegasus Colt brings $75,000 at Barretts Select
A colt by the first-crop stallion Champ Pegasus was purchased at Barretts Select Yearling Sale for $75,000 on Tuesday, August 30th at Del Mar. Hip number 61 was consigned by McCarthy Bloodstock and was out of the mare Broadway Hoofer, who produced multiple graded stakes winner Broadway Empire.
Hip number 65 was another Champ Pegasus colt out of Chabuka who sold for $20,000. Two Champ Pegasus yearlings entered and sold at this select sale, for an average of $47,500.
Champ Pegasus Represented with 14 First-Crop Yearlings at CTBA Yearling Sale
The first crop of Champ Pegasus will be offered at the CTBA Northern California Yearling Sale in Pleasanton on Tuesday, August 16th at noon. The Grade I Winner and Millionaire has 5 colts and 8 fillies catalogued with McCarthy Bloodstock, and the remaining colt is in the Cole Ranch consignment.
